About Us

At Sherriffs Road Swimming Centre, we provide professional swimming lessons for kids, adults, and beginners in a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment. Our experienced instructors focus on helping students build confidence in the water while improving swimming techniques and essential water safety skills. We offer structured programs designed for all ages and skill levels, from beginner classes to advanced swimming training. With small class sizes, personalized attention, we ensure every student receives quality coaching and a positive learning experience. Our goal is to help every swimmer feel confident, safe, and comfortable in the water.

How do I pay?

We offer flexible payment options – blocks of 5 or 10 lessons paid upfront (at a discounted rate), weekly pay-per-lesson, or casual same-day bookings. There are no direct debits and you’re never locked into one option, swap anytime. EFTPOS available at reception.

How do I enrol?

You can submit an enquiry through our Contact Us form and our team will be in touch to get you started. New students receive their first lesson free.

Do you offer public swimming?

No, sorry. We are not a public pool and do not offer public swimming sessions. We do not have an on-duty lifeguard, so entry is only available as part of our programs.

What ages do you cater for?

We cater for all ages, starting from babies with our Water Babies program right through to adults. There’s a pathway for every stage of life.

Can adults join?

Yes. Adults are welcome for lap swimming and hydrotherapy sessions.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, our pool is heated year-round to a comfortable 32-34 degrees. So, lessons and sessions can run comfortably in all seasons.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 8:30pm
Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 2:30pm
Sunday: 8:30am – 12:30pm

What if my child misses a lesson?

We have a make-up lesson policy in place – details are outlined in our Missed Lesson Policy (link). Please contact us as soon as possible if your child can’t attend.

Do you offer make-up lessons?

Yes, make-up lessons are available in line with our policy. Please refer to our Missed Lesson Policy (link) for full conditions.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, private lessons are available for both children and adults. Sessions run for 30 minutes at $60, by special arrangement. Contact us to organise.

What qualifications do your instructors have?

All of our instructors hold nationally recognised swimming and water safety teaching qualifications, along with current CPR certification and a Working With Children Check.
