Sarah
I'm Sarah, the Centre Manager. Sherriffs Road is basically home; I learned to swim here, competed nearby, and taught for 10 years before exploring other careers and happily returning. I believe deeply in our ethos. My favorite milestone is nailing the timing for breaststroke. You'll usually hear me saying, "That was great, let's try again." Always prioritize swimming lessons and supervise your kids around water!

Norse
Hi, I'm Norse! I've been an instructor for about a year and a half. I genuinely love the water and joined this friendly community to help others feel safe in it. My favorite skill to teach is back floating because it works wonders for building a swimmer's independence. I'm always yelling "Kick!" on the pool deck. Remember, always keep a close eye on your kids around water!

Lilli
I'm Lilli, and I've been an instructor for five years now. I honestly feel like I was made for this job! I love watching kids grow and building lifelong relationships within our amazing community. My favorite thing to teach is arm circles in the blue class. You'll usually hear me reminding swimmers to keep their heads above water. Most importantly: never let children enter the water alone.
Lilli
Shana
Hi, I'm Shana! I've been teaching swimming for over two years now. Helping beginners overcome their fear of the water and watching them transform into confident swimmers is the most rewarding experience. I love teaching basic breath control, usually reminding them to "blow your bubbles!" When it comes to safety, I always tell families to establish strict pool rules at home and ensure pool gates are securely latched.

Jaiden
I'm Jaiden, and I've been teaching for almost five years! I wanted a career that truly mattered, and helping kids learn a lifelong skill is incredibly rewarding. I love teaching arm circles, no matter what level the student is at. I probably say "kick, kick, kick" a hundred times a lesson! For safety, enrolling your kids in a learn-to-swim program is the best step you can take.
Jaiden
Xavier
I'm Xavier! I've actually been swimming at Sherriffs Road since I was six months old. Because of my competitive swimming background, I specialize in teaching advanced groups and refining techniques, like my favorite: tumble turns. I'm constantly reminding my classes to "keep one arm out in front" during freestyle. Safety is my priority—children are unpredictable, so never leave them unattended in a pool.

Maria
I'm Maria, and I've been teaching for years, including programs for Surf and Royal Life Saving. Swimming isn't just fun; it's a lifesaving activity. I love being in the water with both kids and adults. Gliding is my favorite skill to teach because it’s the foundation for everything—"float your boat!" My biggest safety message: never take your eyes off swimmers, and please learn CPR.
Maria
Matthew
I'm Matthew, and I've spent five years teaching at the very place I learned to swim and trained in squads! It's incredibly rewarding to watch kids progress and gain confidence in the water. Butterfly is my absolute favorite stroke to break down for my students. You'll definitely hear me chanting "kick, kick, kick" during lessons. My golden rule for water safety: never swim alone.
Matthew
Keaton
Hi, I'm Keaton. I've been teaching for two and a half years, totally inspired by my amazing mum who is also an instructor! The best part of my job is seeing the kids genuinely enjoy themselves in the water. Freestyle is my favorite stroke to teach, accompanied by me constantly saying "Kick!" My top safety advice? Always, always check the water depth before jumping in!

Sophie
I'm Sophie! I started instructing earlier this year after assisting for two years. I always looked up to the instructors here as a kid, and now I get to be that person for my students. The staff here are wonderfully kind. I love teaching star floats, and I’m always encouraging my kids to "Keep kicking!" Remember, constant supervision in and around the water is an absolute must.

Bodene
I'm Bodene! I've only been teaching for a few weeks, but water is in my blood—my mum was a swimming teacher, and I'm an avid snorkeler and free-diver. I love bringing a fun, joyful energy to my classes. Backstroke and safe diving are my favorites to teach. You'll hear me say "Wait for Bo to say go!" Remember, water safety should start as early as possible.
Bodene
I'm Ethan, and I've been teaching here for just under two years. Growing up in Australia, I believe swimming is an absolute must-learn skill. I love meeting people from all walks of life! My favorite thing to teach is freestyle, and I say "Chin down!" so much it actually haunts my dreams. A vital safety tip: if someone is struggling, throw a floatation device—don't jump in yourself!
Ethan
Chloe
I'm Chloe! I've been teaching for nearly five years, bringing my background from Surf Life Saving into the pool. I absolutely love our local community and watching students progress. Arm circles are my favorite to teach because the kids come up with the best metaphors! I'm always reminding them to keep their chins down. A crucial safety tip: wear brightly colored swimwear for maximum visibility!

Helen
I'm Helen, an instructor here since 2022. Swimming has been a huge part of my life and my children's lives—it's an essential life skill. I adore working with our collaborative team! My favorite skills to teach are star floats and torpedoes, and I always remind my classes to keep their heads above the water. Never forget that a star float isn't just fun; it's a vital safety tool.

There is nothing better than seeing their beautiful smiles in the water. I have a blast teaching dives, and I constantly catch myself yelling "Kick! Kick! Kick!" My number one rule for parents: always keep your eyes on your child.

Lee-Anne
I'm Lee-Anne, and I've been welcoming families here for seven wonderful years! My favorite part of every shift is greeting everyone coming through the doors and catching them for a quick wave goodbye. Fun fact: I used to work as a roustabout on my family's farm, so I can throw a pretty decent fleece! I never go a shift without my trusty notebook. If I could be any sea creature, I'd be a beautiful, majestic whale.

Marie
I'm Marie, and I've been part of the Sherriffs Road family on and off for an incredible 44 years! I actually learned to swim here as an adult, which completely sparked my love for the center. There's nothing better than seeing a child's excitement when they master a new skill, and you'll always hear me cheering, "Good job, well done!" My golden safety rule: always stay within arm's length of children around water.

I love creating a fun, low-pressure environment where kids can truly find their confidence.
